SHRM-GP is offering this edition of HR Essentials with some of the Valley's best HR consultants and practitioners. HR professionals looking for a discussion of the fundamentals are invited to join us for an exciting morning!

Niki Ramirez presents on the effective uses of behavioral profiles and employment assessments, as well as best practices for establishing training and mentoring programs in your workplaces. The war for talent continues and this discussion of assessing, training, and mentoring talent represents a fundamental role of HR in being a trusted business partner.

Linda Michaels presents on the fundamentals of compensating leaders and individual contributors -- an all-important aspect of attracting and retaining talent. She then continues with an overview of leadership development fundamentals. From the earlier discussion about training and mentoring, this leadership development review examines how to determine who should be developed, what leadership development looks like, and more.

Stacy Backes presents on the rationale for conducting an HR audit, what to audit, what to expect during an audit, who should conduct the audit, and a model for conducting HR audits.
